Community Nursing provides clinical nursing and/or personal care services for war widow support in your home by registered and enrolled nurses and support staff to:
• restore health following illness
• allow you to maintain the best level of independence
• allow for a dignified death.
What help is included in War Widow Home Care?
DVA Community Nursing Services (War Widow Home Care Services) are services that are required for your essential and regular personal care. They are provided to minimise the impact of injury, disease or illness.
Services can include assistance with personal hygiene (bathing and toileting), grooming, dressing, feeding, and depending on your requirements, assistance with living as full a life as possible after a severe injury. In addition, DVA Community Nursing services can be provided for a short period, for example, where a person is recovering from surgery; or for a longer period to meet ongoing needs.
